Manifesto goes to Barcelona

After Italy and China, Manifesto, the project I co-curate with terrific Tankboys, is about to move to Barcelona next Thursday 19th of January.

Ken Garland, author of First Things First, will be there with us to talk about design manifestos and the ultimate aim of the design practice. Thanks to Garland, who accepted to come and speak with us, and thanks to Marc Morro, the curator of Otras Cosas de Villar Rosas, the design gallery that will display the exhibition until the 17th of February.

We will be publishing material from the talk on the Manifesto website.

Those who are in Barcelona should just come.

The Treehouse in Apartamento

Some months ago Marco showed me a photo of a house in the trees he had built with his dad for our friend Renzo’s daughter. “Write something about it,” he said.

Marco’s dad is called Ivano and works as a carpenter. Renzo’s daughter is called Selam and likes climbing. My piece revolves around them.

It was published in the latest issue of Apartamento, which makes me proud.

Thanks again to Marco and the Tankboys, who told me a good story and ask me to put it down in words.

Colors 82 is out

After three months of hard work and disgusting conversations over dinner, here is the baby.  COLORS 82 – Shit is now out.  It’s the perfect toilet reading and marks my return to the magazine I love above every other.
